Life after Birth. Support and information to help you prepare for, and cope with the role of New Parent

I was a midwife for 21 years and now provide support for new and expectant parents. As a midwife I helped hundreds of families to prepare for becoming parents.

Becoming a parent can be a daunting prospect, and most people need some help and guidance at the start.

Traditionally we would have learnt about baby care by living with our extended families and helping care for younger siblings.

Midwives used to visit daily in the first week and provided support for up to 6 weeks after birth. This may still be available if you hire a private midwife but is no longer part of NHS care.

So new parents are often left without the care and support they need in the early days of parenthood.

My Life after Birth course will help you feel more prepared for all aspects of life with a new baby, but if you need additional support and information my support sessions can be invaluable.

Most people feel reassured after just one or two sessions.

Book a session before birth to talk through fears, or to make an after birth plan. Book a session after birth to discuss your birth, practical aspects of baby care or to answer the many questions you may have.
